Don’t Do It

Hey there, my well-seasoned friend, ,

There’s a quote that stops me in my tracks every time I hear it:

“Don’t live the same year 75 times and call it a life.”

Oof.

It’s easy to fall into patterns, isn’t it?

To do what we’ve always done, to follow the routines that feel safe, to convince ourselves that “someday” we’ll make the change, take the trip, write the book, start the project, say yes to the thing that tugs at us.

But the truth? Someday isn’t promised.

And if we’re not intentional, we can look up and realize we’ve been on autopilot—living the same script, year after year, without ever fully stepping into the vibrancy of our one wild and precious life.

Are You Growing, or Just Going Through the Motions?

This isn’t about throwing your whole life upside down. It’s about asking:

🌀 Am I evolving, or just repeating?
🌀 Am I intentionally creating my life, or just watching it unfold?
🌀 Am I expanding my experiences, or shrinking into predictability?

Look, routine is comforting. Stability is necessary. But life thrives in the balance between structure and spontaneity.

Between knowing what to expect and allowing yourself to be surprised.

So, I have a challenge for you & me.

Shake Up Your Life in the Smallest (but Most Meaningful) Ways

For the next week, try this:

🌱 Do one thing differently. Take a different route home, try a new café, say yes where you’d normally say no (or no where you’d usually say yes).

🌱 Follow one spark of curiosity. Read the book, sign up for the class, buy the sketchpad, research the idea that won’t leave you alone.

🌱 Take one small step toward something that excites you. Even if it feels impractical. Even if it’s just making a plan.

The goal?

To remind yourself that life is still unfolding.

That you are still growing. That next year doesn’t have to look just like this one.

Because, friend—you & I deserve more than a life on repeat.

 A Life Well-Lived is a Life Well-Seasoned

Your Well-Seasoned Life isn’t about perfection or productivity—it’s about presence. About saying yes to your own evolution. About refusing to let fear, routine, or time slip by without taking part in the magic of being alive.

So go ahead—change something up this week. See what happens.

Because you’re not here to live the same year 75 times.
You’re here to live.
